Kingston’s Chief and Engine # 5 responded to a potential transformer fire in the vicinity of Main Street (Route 27) and Laurel Avenue on Friday, October 28. They were assisted by Little Rocky Hill Engine 41. The cause was determined to be dead tree branches on the power lines near 4569 Route 27. This caused a power failure. The crews stood by and awaited Public Service Electric, who restored the power.
