Kingston Fire Department responded to the parking lot of 5 Independence Way earlier today for a small mulch fire.  The fire was quickly extinguished by the crew from Engine 244.  With the excessively dry weather conditions we have been experiencing, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of mulch and brush fires throughout the Township.  During these dry conditions, residents are asked to refrain from having open flames outside and reminded to completely extinguish and safely discard of all smoking materials.
