International Day of Peace Celebration and a Quick Response to Hampton Inn

by | Sep 21, 2018

On Friday afternoon, September 21, we assisted with traffic control while residents of Brandywine Senior Living and students of the Ying Hua International School made a human peace symbol in recognition of International Day of Peace.

Franklin Park Fire Department was on location with Ladder 31 in order to provide an aerial view of the celebration. We thank them for their assistance.

We utilized the Chief and Deputy Chief’s vehicles along with Special Services #6 (39-6) and Engine #5 (39-5) to insure a safe environment for all participants.

Prior to the call initiating, we responded to a call at Hampton Inn at 14:17 for a smoke condition. Engine #5 (245) and Chief 240 arrived at the scene to find the electrical outlet under control and returned to the event at Ying Hua.
