Kingston firefighters responded into Franklin District #3 for the second time in two days on Friday. This time crews responded to 888 Easton Avenue for a three alarm commercial structure fire.
The fire was reported around 7:45 p.m. and took approximately two hours to bring under control. Crews remained on scene throughout the night extinguishing hot spots. Two minor injuries to firefighters were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
In addition to Firefighters from Kingston (Sta. 39), the East Franklin (Sta. 27) and Community (Sta. 25) Fire Companies were assisted at the scene by the New Brunswick, Somerset (56), Elizabeth Avenue (26), Middlebush (44), Franklin Park (31), Griggstown (35), North Brunswick Company #2 and Finderne Fire Departments.
