A Six Alarm Fire involving 20 row homes in Mercer County saw South Brunswick firefighters respond for assistance earlier this evening. The fire located on East State Street in Hamilton Township Fire District Four, required the response of all Mercer County Fire Departments and numerous task forces from the surrounding counties. A joint crew of members from the Kendall Park, Kingston, and Monmouth Junction Fire Departments responded on Kendall Park Engine 221 as part of the Middlesex County Task Force. Along with a task force from Somerset County, the Middlesex Companies were staged at the Mercer County Fire Academy for further deployment. Both task forces were released approximately three hours later without having seen any further action.
