Description
This Kingston Volunteer Fire Company #1 T-shirt commemorates our brother, Dennis Shennard, who fell in the line of duty on June 26, 2021 while training at an annual live burn. Firefighter Shennard was 70 years-old and a 52-year life member of the fire company. He has held the positions of foreman and trustee while passionately serving the township of South Brunswick and Franklin. He was a top responder in many of his years as a firefighter.
The front features our full color company logo while the back commemorates Firefighter Shennard, who sported a distinctive mustache and glasses when he was in and around the station. He was known to be an exceptionally strong individual, both mentally and physically. To be “Shennard Strong” is to be tough like Firefighter Shennard, whose response rate landed in one of the highest percentiles, even at the age of 70. “06.26.21” reminds us the ultimate sacrifice he unselfishly made on June 26, 2021.
