Career & Volunteer Staffs Collaborate on Hose Operation Drill to Improve Fire Ground Efficiency

by | Mar 30, 2018

On Friday, our career staff along with three of our recent Firefighter I graduates trained on hose operations. The crews worked together to improve their techniques, including modified minute-man packing, pre-connect deployment, hose advancement (both charged and uncharged going up and down stairwells), and teamwork during each scenarios, all to improve safety and efficiency. The newly graduates attempted multiple evolutions for several hours and look forward to our April fire drill, a live burn at Mercer County Fire Academy.

Everyone found it to be a productive training exercise. We thank volunteers Cris Armenti, James Calderone, and Cheng-Yu Lee and career staff Ed A. Chabak, T.J. Hargraves, Kevin Magliaro, and Ryan Verney for their dedication and commitment in serving our community.
