Two Elevator Rescues and One Truck Accident with Downed Wires

by | Apr 13, 2017

Early yesterday afternoon, we were dispatched simultaneously for three calls. We had two elevator rescues. The first one was at 9 Independence Way, who was able to get out before we arrived. The second one was at 3 Independence Way. Deputy Chief 250 and Rescue 242 responded and safely removed the individual from the elevator.

The third call was for a truck into a telephone pole with wires down and a brush fire.

Engines 245 and 243 responded and stabilized the vehicle. Once Public Service secured the power the crews extinguished the fire. New Jersey State Forest Fire Service also responded out as well as Rescue 242 once the elevator rescue was completed.
