by | Jan 19, 2015

Kingston Fire Department provided an Engine for coverage for Princeton Fire Department today while they operated at a residential structure fire.  The fire, at 74 Leigh Avenue, started in a crawl space next to the basement area of the home.  Initially reported as a smoke condition, the first arriving fire units discovered fire working up the side of the house and requested transmission of the First Alarm.  The fire left the two-story house uninhabitable due to the extensive fire, smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined.  In addition to the Princeton Fire Department, fire companies from Plainsboro Township, West Windsor Township, Rocky Hill, and the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab responded to the scene with Kingston and Montgomery #2 providing coverage.
